The Collins family are minor nobles in Lithonia. Their home, Nain’s Hold, is situated outside the Basin, also called The Bowl in the Mountains, the valley that is home to Castle Endomir, the City of Endomir, and the farmlands that feed it.
Most minor nobles owe fealty to a high lord, who then owes fealty to the king. But the Collins are one of the few families who serve directly under the Morthans. The children of their family often serve as companions to the princes and princesses of the Royal house but their family is more than just servitors.
Despite their family home being landlocked they are known for their success in international gem trade. Their family seat has sapphire and ruby mines and their gems are highly sought after.
During his travels Lord Daniel Collins met Lady Lenathaina Martinaine of Fairmore Keep, the daughter of Lord Dartariel and Lady Carrina Martinaine, Aetan and Aetaness 'ah Fairmore. The two married quickly and Lady Lenathaina returned to Lithonia with Daniel Collins.
Daniel and Lenathaina had two sons, Samuel and Eric.
Samuel was married twice. His first marriage had no issue but his second, with Lady Allis Parr Collins, produced two children, Lady Annabeth Collins and Lord Andrew Collins. The twins were born in 980 A.C. and their mother died shortly after. Between them, Annabeth and Andrew have three children.
Samuel also had a liaison with Shadiyah Zamdrimia during his first marriage. They had one daughter, Aidiyah, born 946 A.C. and Aidiyah had one daughter, Vera, born in 966 A.C.
Eric Collins, Daniel and Lenathaina’s second son, had twins as well. Eric was a colonel in the Lithonian army as well as a trusted friend to King Charles III. When Eric’s twin daughters were born they were betrothed to the sons of Charles III. You can read more about that in the Morthan Family post.
The Collins Family, while small in numbers, is mighty. They offer strength, loyalty and devotion to the Morthan Family and the Kingdom of Lithonia.
