Multiverse 2025 Recap

Multiverse 2025 Recap

I had a great time at Multiverse.

This was the first year that I attended and it is a great little convention. They started in 2019 and of course the pandemic hit, slowing their growth down. It is a LGBTQIA+ friendly convention that cares about neurodiversity and inclusion. I am so glad that my first convention as a guest author was one that focuses so much on inclusion.

There is a serenity room for those who need a bit of peace and quiet, a con suite that is gluten free and vegan (included in the ticket cost) and they do closed captioning for all the panels!

This convention is more focused on books and had a great author’s alley. I was just a few tables down from my friend, October K Santerelli. You should check out his Patreon, he is an amazing guy who writes dark fantasy. Like me, he is disabled. He just moved to Germany, so go give him a follow to watch his epic adventures.

Speaking of my husband. This was his first time attending a convention with me. Not only did he do a reading for me (dyslexia sucks, and reading out loud is hard with dyslexia) but he manned the table while I was off on panels. He is an amazing author husband.

Dinner with John Hartness and Cisca Small was epic. Indian food and more than two hours of talking books, publishing and growing my brand. Having people in your corner that want to help lift your boat alongside their own is truly special.

My favorite panel was Bedtime Stories. My husband read the tournament chapter in From the Ashes featuring Gavantar, Ellaemarhie, Galwyn, Richard and Frederick. Check out the video here

I was on a lot of great panels. I got to talk about Star Wars, LGBT+ inclusion in books and media, writing with chronic illness and neurospiciness, world building, and mental health in fantasy. The panels were so good and my fellow panelists were all great. I could not recommend this con more and hope to come back soon.

As always, I got a good book haul. I can’t wait to read them.

Check out Multiverse yourself and hope to see you there next year!
